I would like to become a member of the Friends of Clapham & Patching Churches and wish to make an annual donation (minimum £10 per person).
I submit the following details as my application to become a member, knowing that such information will be kept confidential and not shared with any external bodies.
By completing this Application Form you confirm that your donation and any future donations can be treated as Gift Aid. (This enables The Friends to recover standard tax rate on your donation.) Please remember to let us know if you no longer pay an amount of Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax equal to the tax we reclaim on your donation.
General Data Protection Regulations come into force in May 2018. The committee needs to inform you that the personal contact details you put on the membership forms you complete on joining the Friends, are kept on a secure data base which can only be accessed by officers of the Friends committee. These details are used solely for contacting you about membership matters.
Your email addresses are kept on file so that you can be sent information about the Friends and the churches and to provide details of events that are arranged on behalf of the Friends and the churches.
The data will not be used for any other purposes and will not be revealed to any third party.
If you do not wish your details to be retained and used in this way please email us. If we do not receive an email we will assume that you are happy for your details to be stored and used in this way.
There are non-profit organisations which assist online donating, and ensure the whole donation including Gift Aid gets to the charity's bank. Others charge admin fees, card charges and VAT - even a monthly subscription charge!
BT launched MyDonate in 2011 and it's funded by 1% of BT's profits. This means it's free for charities, barring the 15p/13p debit/credit card processing fee. That's why we chose them to facilitate our Donation initiative. Click on the 'mydonate' logo on any page to read more . . .

UK taxpayers making online donations always have the option to pay via Gift Aid.
This allows charities to claw back your tax from the HM Revenue & Customs on either one-off or regular donations, meaning your donation is increased by 25% or more.
All the charity needs is your name, address and a declaration that you're a UK taxpayer, as included here in our form.
You can make an application here online by filling out the Application Form below, or download a form by clicking HERE.
Print it out, fill it out, and send it to our Membership Secretary: Trish Perrett, Tye Cottage, The Street, Clapham, BN13 3UU
